Summary
Grace Chasity cannot remember when her chastity became what she cherished most.
The importance of her virginity has been a constant in her life, as ingrained in her as looking both ways to cross the street. Her body is a sanctuary, and she shouldn't let anyone see it before she is safely married — not even Grace herself. Premarital sex is an unthinkable sin for a Chasity. At least, it was.

Summary
"'The whole planet is some kind of ancient superweapon. A really, really big one. Sparkles, here, is a part of it. And if you wanna learn how to use it, you need me.'
She doesn't know why she does it. Defend Glimmer, that is. If ever asked, Catra would just say she was saving her own skin, and the princess happened to be a part of it. But she's not really sure if that's true. She can't trust her own instincts, not when she let Double Trouble betray her. Not when she opened a portal that tore open the world. Not when Adora left her.
No. Her instincts can't be trusted. But she is a soldier. A strategist. A survivor.
If there is anything Catra is good at, maybe too good at, it's surviving."

Summary
"And maybe Kara has just had a long week. Maybe she's had one too many people stop her on the street for photos, overheard one too many conversations about her work integrity at CatCo, had one too many meetings interrupted by emergencies. Maybe she just misses her friends and misses her privacy and she needs to do more things like this — going out with friends or taking time off or whatever. Maybe she hates that she hasn’t seen Lena in forever, hates that she can’t really find a good reason for not seeing her, besides not wanting to burden anyone else with her problems.
Or maybe—though it pains her to consider—maybe revealing her identity to the world has created more new problems than it solved old ones."
(or: supergirl reveals her identity. kara zor-el lives with the consequences. and has an existential crisis after watching the musical jesus christ superstar.)

Summary
"Lena never stepping foot on the dance floor added to the mystery of the heir to the Luthor throne. She was the topic of discussion at every table. Every pair of eyes was on her at every event, looking to see which multi-million dollar CEO she would reject next.
And so, the game begins.
Who will be the first one to get the last Luthor, youngest female CEO in the country, onto the dance floor?"
Or, four times Lena does not dance at galas and one time she does.

"You told me you wanted to protect me." Lena breaks the silence. "You also told me you were selfish. Which one is it?"
Kara stares out into the city, thumb tracing the top of her mug in silent, anxious circles. Her chest aches with vulnerability, something she never really allowed herself to show in front of Lena, not with the secret hanging over them like a shadow, forcing her to choose words carefully as to not reveal herself. Self-preservation is no longer an option.
"Both," she admits.
(Or, Kara and Lena sit down to talk about the secret. Set before Kara gets sent to the Phantom Zone.)

Summary
"Rozanov?" he says, almost without meaning to. Surely he's mistaken and is about to be told to fuck off. Or, even more alarmingly, he is correct, and then he is certain to be told to fuck off, and possibly punched in the face. The man shifts, eyes drifting from his drink up to Scott and— well, there's no denying it. The captain of the Boston Raiders is drunk in Scott's neighborhood dive bar.
"Fuck," the response is slow, the delayed reaction of molasses spilling out of a jar carelessly knocked over on the kitchen counter. "I must have overdone it. I have summoned the Ghost of Hockey Past."
Scott could just leave. He could turn on a heel, and leave this drunk asshole to discover on his own what consequences are.
Because he's stupid, though, because he's nothing if not a responsible captain even when the drunken idiot in question isn't even one of his own teammates, and yes, because a small part of him can't help but love a good train wreck when he sees one, he sits down instead.

Summary
And yeah, Shane knew that Ilya hadn’t been okay last time he was in Russia, but Ilya had had the very real excuse of a funeral to blame things on. Ilya had downplayed it as much as he could, and Shane hadn’t been there, he’d heard the fatigue and he’d seen Ilya’s tired smile, but he hadn’t felt the way Ilya’s hands were cold the entire time he was there, hadn’t seen through the screen the way Ilya dropped eight pounds in three weeks, hadn’t kept time when there were twenty hours in Ilya’s day instead of something closer to sixteen. Or, on the flip side, for the week or two after, when there had been approximately ten conscious hours in a day.
It was one thing to see something. It was another to feel it in your hands.
Ilya and Shane are so, so happy for their first year married. They’re playing in Ottawa together, they’re fucking winning, they’re together and out.
So now, after a year, Ilya should be fine. He should be great. He should not be flinching at small noises or nearly punching people off the clock or feeling like he’s drowning whenever he’s not on the ice.
Or: Ilya Rozanov, meet your PTSD.
