It's nothing that Erik would notice if Charles hadn't spent so much of the last few weeks in and out of Erik's head, or if Charles was trying to sneak. It's a twitch, an intrusive thought (his own name, laden with purpose), and possibly the way his breath snags in his throat—but that may just be Erik.
