I've read a lot of fics where Harry Potter travels back through time and then has to make Tom Riddle fall in love with him–I wanted to switch it up.
Tom Riddle discards the idea of making Horcruxes when he realizes there is an easier option: make the Master of Death fall in love with him. Easy right? There are just a few problems. For a moment he focused on what seemed to be the truth. Zuko was once again seven years old. He was no longer thirty nor was he Fire Lord, so he had to do away with that mindset. Zuko was seven and had just excelled at his first ever Firebending lessons. Azula was five and still unsure of her role in the universe, his Mother was still with him, Ozai was plotting to take the throne, and Aang was twelve and frozen in a block of ice.
Zuko has been Fire Lord for over twenty years when he falls into the past. Quickly realizing he is a combatant in the battle for Azula's soul, he also comes to understand that ---as her older brother--- he has the chance to be the only player in the game.

Summary
Zuko falls asleep, 23 years old and the reigning Firelord of 8 years.
Zuko wakes up, 3 years old and fourth in line for the Dragon Throne.
After realizing his position, Zuko begins working to cultivate a better future for himself and his sister, Azula, who he desperately wishes to save from a terrible fate.
With the power and knowledge of an adult, Zuko manages to save himself and his sister from being hurt, but how long will that last?
Now he must help the Avatar, by teaching him firebending and protecting him until he is fully realized. Can he do it? Or will Zuko crumble under the pressure of the entire future resting on his shoulders?
