If Bertha could bottle it, she would: the heart-pounding exhileration of standing on the ice bowing to raucous applause; how George pulls her into his arms like they're two magnets; the smell of him, slightly sweaty but oh-so-familiar; and the feeling of his heart against her chest, beating in time with hers, until the adrenaline fades and they come slowly unstuck.
