“If any part of you cares about me as much as I care about you, you'll fix this. Find a way!”
Those words have followed him across millennia. He was haunted by that promise he made her, and yet, he kept making it. Over and over and over and over again. He debated a few times over, just forgetting about it entirely. Why bind himself to a promise in a timeline that doesn't even exist anymore? There were a couple of times where he almost forgot why he'd even made such a promise in the first place. Rage and hatred filling his entire being as he questioned how someone like him could be tied to something so insignificant.
But whenever he started to forget, something always reminded him.

‘Rain…’ Akane noted to herself bitterly, as she stared out the classroom window. She hated the rain, it was gloomy depressing weather,not to mention the humidity made everything feel a thousand times worse. Sure one might think a bookworm like Akane would love the rain, rain meant you could stay inside all day and read to your heart’s content. Except that same rain meant everyone else stayed inside too, and more often than not, that also meant teasing and the dreaded nickname “grim reaper”.
