The shock hit Remus with such force that the wolf let out a soft, bewildered whimper. His human mind was reeling. What in the magical world was she doing here? She was the brightest witch of her age; she knew the lunar phases by heart, she had likely noted the dates of his transformations meticulously in her diary. And yet here she stood, in the middle of the night of the full moon, in his corridor.
"Remus?" her voice called out into the darkness of the cottage. It sounded scratchy, incredibly exhausted, but at the same time, a vibrant, almost manic euphoria resonated within it. "Remus, are you still awake? I know it's absurdly late, but I couldn't wait. You'll have to forgive me for just barging in like this."

Shane's got a five-year plan to get him there and when you have a plan nothing can go wrong. Right? Right. When you have a solid plan and a marriage that's on paper only there's no risk of feelings getting involved. Not on Rozanov's part and certainly not on Shane's.
