The kingdom of Lawrence has been without a crowned ruler since old King Fergus died heirless more than six months ago. Today, after a long wait and exhausting search, the heir apparent is finally arriving—Prince Castiel of Elysia will be crowned the next King of Lawrence, and Sir Dean Winchester, as Knight-Captain of the Kingsguard, will be his right-hand man and a member of his personal guard just as he was to the old king before him.

He drags the fork out between his lips and Castiel doesn’t look at them. It’s just that Dean has a little bit of powdered sugar in one corner of his mouth, and he’s gifted with really great genes. But he’s not staring.
“Fuck, Cas,” Dean exclaims, effectively bringing Cas out of his reverie of not looking at his lips, “That’s some good fucking pie.”
He barely catches Meg’s “Yeah, good job, Clarence,” because he is too busy notblushing.
A second into awkwardness he turns to Meg and smiles, “I’m glad you like it.” He somehow meets Dean’s eyes as he says it. Maybe because Dean seems to enjoy it more.
Meg excuses her self to go smoke a cigarette and Dean compliments the cinnamon-to-sugar ratio.

It’s been a while since Castiel last went to a bar. Especially a random one. He’s an introvert, capital I, and not much of a party animal for one, and two, it’s exhausting to be around straight people.
But he goes, and he meets one handsome stranger.Cas looks at him. They’re roughly the same height but the guy looks a little younger than Cas. “Not my type,” Cas says, about the female bartender.
The guy bites his lower lip as he studies Cas. “What is your type?” he asks then.
Cas doesn’t know where the guy is going with this but Cas hates talking to straight guys and the best way to make them go away is by scaring them with the gay, so that’s what he does.
He looks straight into the stranger’s eye, and dead serious, says: “You.”
Instead of backing off, the stranger smiles. "Lucky me."Series
