His gaze searches Yuuji’s face with frantic, pleading intensity, pupils blown so wide his eyes look almost entirely black in the low light. “It’s supposed to be you. Has to be you, Yuuji – please, please, I can’t – it has to be you–”
He wrenches free from Yuuji’s grasp with a burst of hysterical strength and surges forward again, burying his face back into the reddened, abused skin of Yuuji’s neck with bruising force, fresh tears soaking the bite mark that will never truly settle into a proper claim; and he cries openly against it now, rubbing so hard that Yuuji’s skin begins to burn, raw and oversensitive beneath the onslaught.

Hanging out in sweats and a thin shirt that definitely belongs to Megumi. His hair’s a little wild and tufted, which means he showered. He never dried his hair with a blow dryer, always rubbing his head roughly with a towel.
Most importantly, his scent is a tangy citrus spice, like the honey apple ginger tea he'd made for Megumi a few weeks ago.
Sweet on his tongue, he breathes in and feels his heart pang.
He missed him so much.
Megumi comes home in the morning, tired and missing his mate.

Alphas leave their scent on Omegas to mark them as theirs — but usually, it fades in a few days. Megumi accidentally marked Yuuji once during a fight, rubbing his scent all over him to hide him from enemies… and it never went away. Yuuji smells exactly like Megumi now: rain, earth, and him, mixed with his own citrus sweetness.
This means every other Alpha can smell immediately that Yuuji belongs to someone, and every time Megumi is near Yuuji, his body reacts violently — his heart races, his blood heats up, his instincts scream mine mine mine. Yuuji feels it too; whenever Megumi is close, his body softens, his knees get weak, and he gets desperate for more of that scent, more of him.
They try to ignore it, try to act normal… until they have to share a small hotel room on a mission. The air is thick with their mixed scents, heavy and intoxicating. Yuuji goes into a mini-heat triggered just by being so close to Megumi.
