    The wolf reacts, ears twitching, eyes fluttering over Wednesday’s face, brief moments of recognition flickering in the gaze.

    Wednesday lifts a hand, and the werewolf immediately tenses, growling and backing away against the wall. A warning sign.

    But Wednesday isn't afraid. This is her wolf. Her Enid.
