Summary
Octavia is a recent new assistant hire at the Baldur's Gate Museum of History. Her new boss is elusive and mysterious, but it's a good thing that Gale, the boss's right hand man is there to help out. Upon entering the atrium, she's enthralled by a subject in multiple paintings in the gallery.
She ends up with more than she bargained for when her boss starts taking a liking to her.

Summary
The nerve of that arrogant, infuriating elf. She swore to the gods, she was going to burn his tent to the ground one of these nights purely out of spite.
It was bad enough that he'd tackled her to the ground upon meeting. Who does that? I mean...maybe she would, if she had to, but still. She had to admit, though, he was pleasing to look at. She guessed she could endure him long enough to figure out how to remove these tadpoles.
Besides, it was kind of nice to feel like she had a family again. It had been years since she left the crew, and now she found herself in the midst of a similar ragtag group. And while sometimes they were annoying and inconvenient, and asked too many questions, she mostly liked them. Mostly. Let's be real. Mama K was quickly becoming her favorite.
Life was better than it had been in years! (despite the tadpoles.) Now, if she could just push Astarion off the nearest cliff, it'd be perfect. Two snarky rogues in a party was just one too many.

Summary
Over the centuries, Astarion has learnt to play people like a fiddle, using his dashing good looks and roguish charisma to do his master's bidding. Now, with his freedom finally within reach, the one person he needs on his side seems immune to his charm.
As a bard, Cordelia is well-trained in both performance and insight into the nature of others. She sees that walking red flag a mile away, but that doesn't mean she can resist him forever.
