Summary
Matt hates words.
Which is ironic, because, y’know. Lawyer.
But being a lawyer is easy. There are pre-written scripts, certain things to say in certain situations. There are planning sessions over shitty Chinese food, pages and pages of notes for every scenario he can think of, and a comeback for everything the opposing counsel can throw at him.
So, no. Not words.
What Matt hates is the unpredictability of everyday conversation. His tongue trips over the most basic hellos, the simplest where-are-you-froms and the most mundane chats with over-enthusiastic cashiers.
(or, Matt struggles but everything works out at the end.)

Summary
Clint’s been real careful since Phil came back from the dead. He avoids bringing up Loki, sharp spears, and pays no mind to the twin scars on his chest and back. In return, Phil doesn’t wear light blue, gets Tony to change the error screens on the TVs to purple, and pulls him off of missions with telepaths and a memorable one when Loki returns.
It’s going great. Until it's not.
(or, when Phil panics at Grey's Anatomy on the TV)
