Summary
Their lips pull apart with a wet smack. They don’t move far, heads resting on the pillow, a close-up shot of the dreamy expression spreading across Eddie’s face. Buck thinks maybe he can blame the late hour for his lack of filter, because he hasn’t even really processed the thought before he blurts out, “can I be the one to propose?”

The universe can interfere all it wants. Buck knows he and Eddie are meant to be together.Series

Summary
Eddie can’t move. Like this, Buck is illuminated by the sunlight streaming through the window; dust motes shimmering around his head, his hair haloed in gold. Beautiful, Eddie thinks. And to his surprise, he doesn’t feel any sort of guilt about doing so.
Except — he should. Because Buck is dating Tommy, and he’s happy, and Eddie would rather go to his grave repressed and miserable than ever take away from Buck’s happiness.
Or: Eddie starts to untangle his complicated feelings about himself, and Buck. Mainly Buck.

Summary
Eddie Diaz is fine. Totally fine. In control. Focused. Definitely not distracted.
...Okay, maybe slightly distracted. But who wouldn’t be? Life’s been weird lately—like, can’t-focus-on-work, lost-in-thought, zoning-out-mid-conversation kind of weird. It’s probably stress. Or lack of sleep. His concussion. Or Buck’s fault. (It’s definitely Buck’s fault.)All Eddie knows is that his brain has been taking some... creative liberties lately. And while most people might daydream about, say, a vacation or winning the lottery, Eddie’s subconscious seems to have its own, very specific, very Buck-centered agenda.
He’s not worried. Not really. These things pass.

“Bless your heart, you really are new to this. Good for y’all, though. I’m glad this ship is… accepting.”
Eddie straightens in his seat. “What does that mean?”
All four wince as a young man taps the microphone onstage.
“Testing, testing,” he jokes. “Welcome to the Cruisin’ Couples Trivia Tournament!”
The patrons around them cheer. Eddie digs his nails into Buck’s skin harsh enough to make him wince.
“Oh,” he breathes. “This is for couples.”
or: After getting dumped, Buck is left with two tickets to a weeklong cruise. Eddie steps in to support a friend in need, but complications arise when his friend becomes his fake husband. All's fair in love, war, and trivia.

Summary
“I went out drinking with Ravi, and he found Tommy at the bar, I guess. Then out of nowhere Ravi was leaving, and Tommy sat down with me, and one thing sorta led to another and... and, he, uh. You know. Spent the night.”
Pulse rabbiting in his ears, Eddie’s jaw ticks. “He spent the night.”
“Yeah, but that wasn’t even the problem, really,” Buck says, exasperated. “Eddie—he told me that he dumped me because of you.”
The tune in his ears shifts from rushing blood straight to television static. “He what?”

Or: Eddie's in Texas, Buck is not, and the universe is screaming at Eddie about it.
