Summary
Qifrey wasn't going to die any more. He'd be able to raise his girls, to see them grow into the wonderful witches he knew they'd become. He could make up for lost time with Olruggio; finally give an answer to the longing glances and lingering touches that his dearest friend had gifted him over the years.
Something scratched at the back of his throat, an odd sort of hunger he had never experienced before. Qifrey was used to wanting—wanting for love, for safety, for revenge for that which was taken from him. But this frantic, crawling desire was new. It was an aching thirst that hollowed him from the inside-out, funneling his attention into a narrow-minded focus.
He had to feed.
Or; Qifrey is turned into a vampire. Determined to "save" Coco via the gift of immortality, he turns her as well.

But Tartah had stayed, stubbornly, no matter how Custas tried to scare him off. He had fretted over his condition and, when Custas kept snapping at him, had lifted his own left arm to show off the seal emblazoned on it.
"See?" He had said, with a tired whisper of a smile. "I'll never be able to lie to you again. That means we can be friends again, right?"
Custas hadn't answered, just stared blankly.
After the events of Silver Eve, Custas and Tartah lean away from everything else and lean into each other.

Richeh gets hers first, which is a shock to them all.
Qifrey says it's unexpected. She’s just so small and it’s quite early for her to start bleeding. While Olruggio says it makes sense— rarely do things happen like they expect them to.
She wakes in a pool of her own blood— which is never a good sign.Or, Richeh gets her period and all the issues that comes with it.
