Then, as if an onion was peeled slowly, their marriage started to change. It began with the birth of James, three years into their marriage. They still loved each other immensely and still made love when they could, never getting enough of each other. Yet, the anxiety and the hurdles of being new parents opened new arguments, new irks, and new annoyances they never bothered to address. When she voiced her concerns to Hermione, she merely waved it off and said it was normal and they would be fine.
And, they had been fine and thriving as a family. Three years after James’ birth, Ginny fell pregnant once more, and their son Albus was born. Ginny felt like her family was finally at a place she wanted them to be, her kids were happy and her husband was busy but attentive, just as she was. Never mind that they no longer had time for each other, Ginny had thought, they were happy with their life.
