Summary
Scar has transferred to start his second year at Hermiton University of Craft and Engineering in London, ready to leave America behind. What he doesn’t expect is to recognise one of his fellow students from his flight –Grian, and his adorable cat.
Grian is back in England after a decade in the States, settling into business classes and hiding his cat in a dorm he technically shouldn’t have. Seeing his friends again is a breath of fresh air and meeting an attractive dude on his flight that happens to be attending the same university him was certainly a bonus.
With Scar adapting to the differences between America and England, and Grian finally feeling at home after ten years, the two grow close.
But not everything can be a fairy tale.

"You're rutting?"
Dumb question. Obvious answer. Grian asks anyway, and Scar's mouth becomes all teeth, blunt, but shining in the dim light. His effort to keep his tone light is waning, but valiant.
"Not yet. Great time for you to walk that lovely everything-you've-got-going-on right back up those stairs before I do something regrettable."
Rut's rougher than heat. Scar, to make matters worse, is red. He's definitely got something right prefacing anything smelling like that, especially at the start, with a warning. Here's the thing, though. Scar's helped Grian with his heat, and named a llama Pizza, and has dark brown hair falling into his face and is chiseled like a greek statue and smells like heaven in hell, looking worried out of his mind beneath the pretty red dusting his cheeks. Grian steps down the stairs and approaches Scar, making to grab his shoulders as if to drag Scar with him.
"Come on, we're not doing this down in the mines."

“… What was that?” Gem stared at him like she had seen a ghost. Her jaw might as well have been touching the cobblestone and her eyes looked about to bulge out of her skull. She had turned about 5 shades whiter.
“Oh, it's Scar’s newest bit,” Grian answered casually. It was definitely nothing that warranted that sort of reaction, didn't even make top 5 of craziest things Scar had done. Maybe not even top 10. He flattened the shopping district overnight just a few weeks ago.
“His newest bit…” Gem shook her head, recomposing herself. “Can you please explain what exactly is the bit?” Before Grian could reply, she added: “From the very beginning, with as many details as possible. What is wrong with you two?”(or: Scar rehearses to get the best love confession)

Broadway Star, Scar ‘Hot Guy’ Good Times, and Famous Sitcom Actor, Grian CuteGuy, are having a bit of troubled waters within their careers. The two of them have become old news and without their names in lights, they won’t have any shot at booking any more roles. Well, turns out the two of them have the same manager: Cub. And using his brilliance he decides to get the two together for a fake relationship! What better way to get the fans interested again and boost their careers!?
But, in the end, who will have the heart to tell them that this wasn’t meant to last forever?

“No, you’re cute news!” Scar blurts out.
"What?" Grian asks.
Scar rambles, trying to explain himself to Grian.
“Oh my Watchers above.” And Grian bursts out laughing, right there in front of the reporters. Scar is sure he hears at least twenty clicks of cameras go off, but he couldn’t care less. Because that sound, the sound of Grian’s laugh, is Scar’s new favorite sound. “
