“I—” Elphaba paused, frowning slightly at the women. “I didn’t break in,” she said mildly, shaking her head. “I used the door.”
She held up her keys, pointing them stupidly towards the door as if the woman wasn’t familiar with how the two functioned together.
The woman huffed, crossing her arms over her chest. “But why are you here?” she demanded. “It’s the middle of the night!”
“It’s eight o’clock,” Elphaba said, not really knowing why she was arguing that particular point. “Hardly the—”
“Alright!” the woman snapped, waving a dismissive hand around haphazardly. “You didn’t break in and it’s not the middle of the night. But what are you doing here?”

Morrible smiles. It is a grim thing, inhuman in a most off putting sort of way, teeth too white and lips curled too widely in the early morning air. Glinda would recoil only she’s trying quite hard not to show her hand, these days. “You love him, don’t you?”
Glinda nods. There is a terrible knot in her throat, she swallows around it but it only grows.
“Then act like it.”

Summary
All Azula wants is silence. To be freed from the echoes of her mother's ghost, the judgement in her brother's eyes, and the memories of the childhood she spent clawing at perfection. Upon Zuko's royal decree, she's released from the institution she'd been placed in at the end of the war, but it isn't the peace she'd been hoping for. Instead, she finds herself being dragged to Ember Island, where Zuko and his friends are determined to help her heal.
Despite the group's efforts, Azula is dejected and uninterested in their help. Her resentment only grows as she endures their attempts to fix what she doesn't even believe to be broken.
To her growing frustration, she finds an unexpected solace in the last person she expects: Katara. And no matter how much she tries, Azula can't seem to push her away.
