‘It’s the simple things in life’ his mother would say. Well, Elliott was fairly sure it was something she would say, or had said in the past. Whatever. It sounded like something she’d say and, in the end, that’s what mattered. Right? Not that he had to justify it to anyone. Nope. Not even Renee, who had given him a flat look she always did as she handed over the tabloid magazines.
At least she had stopped asking him why he read them.
It wasn’t anyone’s business that he liked to have a drink or two and delve into the world of celebrity gossip. It was worth a good laugh and god did he need something to lighten his mood.

Watchpoint: Gibraltar was never supposed to become familiar.

Hanzo wakes up in an unsavory place where alphas are paying top dollar to try and own him. Fortunately, he is saved by the trafficking ring being busted by Overwatch. Unfortunately, Overwatch knows he is the newly-appointed kumicho of the Shimada clan and isn't so willing to let him go. With his heat fast approaching, and a certain cowboy making his body and mind go akimbo, Hanzo has to figure out how to get back to his brother. If escape is possible, that is.

“Ah,” Gale looks ever-so-slightly abashed. Only slightly, though. Mostly he looks a little proud of himself. “You know how the receptionist is always asleep?”
Astarion's eyebrows shoot up.
“Gale Dekarios, you shady thing.”
“I only borrowed it! He's never been awake enough to ask about spares, so. It was easier to just sort it out myself.”
“It would have been easier to ask me,” Astarion points out.
“Mmmm,” Gale hums, doubtfully. “I don't know if I'd ever consider you the ‘easier’ option, Astarion, I feel that would be doing your commitment to cantankerousness a great disservice.”
