"Hey, hey, Yukkie," Ruka spoke, sitting down on Yuki's bed as everyone else was getting ready to go to sleep. "I have something I want to try out."
"I don't like the look on your face," the girl mumbled, giving her a suspicious glance.
"I'm not planning anything bad, I swear."
"If you aren't, then why are you acting like a kid scared of asking for permission? Wait, why are you on my bed? Yours is up there," Yuki said, pointing her finger up.
"I'll go back later. Right now I'm on your bed because my idea requires me to be close to you, so move a little to the right and let me in."
Ruka wants to join the ASMR competition.

"W-What is it…?"
"We can still hear the music even outside," Ruka said, extending a hand to her. "May I have this dance?"
"Your Majesty, it's not appropriate for me to accept the king's hand like this…" Yuki muttered hesitantly.
But Ruka simply waited. Probably seeing Yuki's resolve crumble, her smile widened as she moved her hand a little closer and gave Yuki an encouraging nod.
And Yuki was just a person. No matter how devoted to her duties she was, there was a limit to how much she could struggle against what her heart yearned for when it was right within her grasp.
The king and her knight enjoy a moment alone, away from the eyes of anyone else.

"So, what's bothering you?" the girl prompted her.
Right. She was supposed to talk. So…
"Yukkie… Do you think humanity deserves to be saved?" Ruka blurted out without thinking much. Yuki immediately started choking on her drink, her sputters echoing in the evening silence.
"W-What kind of question is that supposed to be?!" she asked in response.
Ah. Maybe Ruka shouldn't have said that. She wasn't supposed to tell anyone what she was there for after all.
But she still wanted that answer. Anything, just to have a starting point.
"…I had no idea you were thinking about something so serious," Yuki eventually said. "But… of course it deserves it."
"How can you be so confident about it...?"
A love story between the alien tasked with finding someone who can save the world and the human girl who always stays by her side.

“No, that's not it.”
“Then what is it? Don't tell me you're here just to hang out.”
“Why not?”
“Because then you wouldn't stop bothering me until you got what you wanted. So, what is it about?” the girl repeated her question.
“Well… Yukkie,” Ruka finally admitted.
“Oh? Izumi again?” she said, a slightly ominous smile now on her lips. “Are you going to throw another jealous fit? Go ahead, I'm starting to find those amusing.”
Following the events of chapter 5.1, Ruka finds herself reflecting on her relationship with Yuki.
