Ian and Mickey have been seeing each other for months. Ian has repeatedly mentioned to Mickey how much he likes him, but Mickey refuses to say it. Mickey is very hot and cold with him to the point where Ian's not sure he likes him though everyone assures him Mickey's gone for him. Ian grows tired of his behavior and one night after repeatedly rejecting Mickey's advance a hurt Mickey says the wrong thing to Ian and Ian breaks things off. Mickey tries everything to win him back.

After the wedding, Harry lets Louis know that he didn’t want a mate and to not expect a relationship from him. Since they are already mated, Harry has to officially reject Louis’s omega to break ties. This practice is so taboo that he doesn’t know the omega has a maximum of a year left to live after rejection. As time goes on, the omega gets weaker and weaker.
