A man wakes up in a frozen hut south of the Wall with no memory, no name, and a status screen. He dies of hypothermia three times before he figures out how to keep a fire going.
No noble birth. No convenient canon insertion point. Just a villager in the Gift in 288 AC, with a leveling system, an autosave that rewinds time when he dies, and the growing suspicion that he's not the first person the system has chosen.

Written as a thought experiment - how would an early 19th century military and political force change Westeros? How would Westeros change them?

Summary
A small fleet of Culture ships arrives in the Warhammer 40k galaxy and tries to overcome Grimdark while dealing with the Outside Context Problem of Chaos.
Hilarity ensues. Including, but not limited to, a Special Circumstances archaeological dig on a Necron tombworld, multi-party future sight gambit pileups, serious upgrades to the Tau, fun with the Dark Eldar, some subtle influence in the IoM, and a hell of a lot of dead Tyranids.
Also includes many fun and exciting alternate endings :).

Summary
Two very different inmates discuss politics in a state prison. The Londoners vote to leave and brave the never-ending winter in search of, well, London. Everyone else is too afraid of freezing to death to try. Maybe the devil-you-know really is the better option.
Meanwhile, the Captain of the city grapples with her unhappy citizens, despite giving them everything she thinks they deserve. She must have their obedience, whatever the cost.
