Caitlyn is the kind city slicker in town to visit her brother. Vi is the shy cowboy who intervenes during a moment of car trouble. One has a lot to learn about himself, and one has a few things of her own she might have been ignoring too long. Good thing they have each other, ain't it?

Summary
Caitlyn didn't know what she was. She didn't get her first kiss until she was 20 and it was "meh" at best. She still hasn't had what would be considered an actual relationship at the age of 29 and that's after she expanded her horizons to look into men AND women.
Primarily, Caitlyn just doesn't care. She's never been a person who needs to be in a relationship to feel fulfilled and she's never felt lonely living the single life. But there's still that niggling feeling deep inside her that DOES desire someone in her life. Just...someone who subverts any usual definition of "romantic partner."
But, that person can't possibly exist, right?
Then along came Vi.

Alternatively, Caitlyn is still a gay disaster while identifying as aro/ace because I am too and Vi's just too hot for her own good.

The Atlas Gauntlets do what they're supposed to. They were made to mine the Fissures, to move stone and dirt, to empower their wearer to carry objects they would never have the strength to lift on their own.
Thousands of pounds of rock slam down and the gauntlets catch them. And Vi has to hold them up.
