Dustin Henderson invites Steve Harrington over to the Munson trailer to look through a memory box of Eddie’s. As they dig through it, Steve (accidentally) reveals that he may know Eddie better then Dustin (or any of the others) will think.

Laika was the first dog and living creature in space. It was known she wouldn’t survive the trip to orbit earth. But the Soviets launched into space to gather research for science.
Laika had a heart rate three times the usual amount, before it settled down during weightlessness.
She had only survived a few hours before she eventually passed away due to overheating and panic.
This, is my interpretation of her thoughts during her space launch.

On the road of trying to escape the unsafe planet, he meets friends he never expected to have, that he soon will go on adventure on for quite some time.
