Slow burn, and becoming a lot longer and more detailed than this writer expected. I apparently can’t just write some good old fashioned smut. I have to make it devastating first. Torture first, sex later.
My grad school project had a focus on body memory and I haven’t gotten over it. Please come suffer the way I did.Bookmarked by Winewithdandelion

Summary
Born beneath whispers and raised on suspicion, The Dark Urge learned early that love is often optional in a cruel world—and that survival, more often than not, demands something sharper than wit.
Long before she was ever named the Savior of Baldur’s Gate, she was a cursed child: feared by those around her, rejected by the one meant to protect her, and stalked by a hunger she could neither name nor master.
In the years that followed, The Dark Urge became many things—some chosen, some forced upon her: prodigy, exile, weapon, thief, lover, hero. She walked the fragile line between salvation and ruin, fought battles both divine and personal.
And beneath it all, constant and unyielding, was the truth of her making.Series

Summary
“You’re still hers. After everything, you’ll be hers and I’ll be alone.” Tav had told him, when she cut off their burgeoning relationship... and just when his orb has finally been sated. But can he blame her? No. She’s reckless and proud, but she’s not a masochist. Loving him would be masochism.
THE SECOND ACT is the second part of my kinda-canonical BG3 retelling following the group's adventure into the Shadow-Cursed Lands. The Three Acts are story-driven and angsty, with healthy doses of comedy and silly camp dynamics. Point of view is half and half between Tav and Gale, with plenty of attention paid to non-ship characters and their interconnecting dynamics. In this house we love a tender, platonic friendship and an ensemble cast to compliment the ships.
Because I mostly keep to major game events, you do not ~have~ to read The First Act to read The Second, but it's worth noting that the most non-canonical material in the story involves the romance between Gale and Tav, and I did work very hard on it, so consider checking it out sometime, if not before this one ;)

Summary
Gale returns to Waterdeep, to the woman he barely knows but has been betrothed to for two decades, leaving behind a heartbroken Tav in Baldur's Gate.
----
The parchment is expensive. Tav runs her fingertips over the wax seal and hesitates; she knows what this is. She is not surprised that it is happening, she is, however, surprised at being included in some way. Perhaps, she allows herself, she had hoped it wouldn't be so soon. (She has already put to bed the part of herself that had hoped it would not happen at all.) Gale had, after all, been very clear - and devastatingly gentle - in his explanation.

Summary
Vi narrowed her eyes a fraction, mischief tugging at the corner of her mouth. “And - your real name.”
His cheeks hollowed beautifully as he sucked a breath, expression flickering with surprise, doubt, curiosity, and finally. Respect.
“Doctor Gale Dekarios,” he admitted. “And you are?”
Game. Set. Match.
“Captain Violante Calder.” She grasped his hand. “Welcome to the Eurydice.”
When his skin finally touched hers, the electricity fried every nerve. Her gaze locked to his, and for a moment, she forgot everything - the deal, the crew, the illegal cargo. Then the heat she’d desperately been ignoring finally broke through, roaring and undeniable.
Gods, he might be the most infuriating man she’d ever met. But she also wanted him biblically.
