Zanka’s blind. Has been for years. Most of the Cleaners are oblivious to it, but everyone who needs to know is already aware (and Enjin Doesn’t Need To Know, RIYO—)
So, yeah, baggage there. But with Assistaff’s help his blindness is basically paperwork (it is not) so there’s no reason to tell Enjin. (Or anyone else.) Besides, their fearless team leader is busy training the new kid! No reason to bother the guy with petty bullshit from years ago. He's got too many responsibilities as-is, and honestly, Enjin probably wouldn’t even care so there's no actual point in saying—
Then Rudo finds out.
Rudo, who can barely keep his emotions in check, let alone a fucking secret.
Cue Zanka’s life immediately going to hell in a hand basket (especially once Jabber gets involved).

Summary
Zanka is tasked with keeping Jabber from running too wild in his new position with the cleaners. Jabber is a ball of excess manic energy. Daily fights are a little unsustainable when there are trash beasts to be defeated on a moment’s notice.
And since their relationship has been evolving, it's a no brainer. Jabber is a masochist. Zanka has a dominant streak. Easy peasy. It shouldn’t be too different from all the times before.
Except, as usual, Zanka is a fucking wild card. Sex never felt hazy or vulnerable like this with any of the strangers that make up Jabber’s sexual history. Jabber is used to pain, but treated with roughness and care in equal measure is new and very disarming.

Summary
"Ever since that one mission, both Zanka and Jabber were acting weird." Rudo mentions to Riyo, who seems to have gotten the same idea.
"Both irritable and aggressive, but seeing them apart is rarer lately, right? " Riyo continues, after sneaking in through his window, getting comfortable on Rudo's bed once again.
"Wonder what happened, shouldn't we ask Eisha to check up on him?" Rudo practically mutters the second half of his sentence.
"Nah, let's see how this'll play out." Riyo announces, strangely amused by the situation.

Janka getting hit by a strange jinki user, who makes it so that their romantic feelings are amplified to a dangerous level.
