Summary
When Izuku Midoriya’s quirk first appeared, it happened the day his classmate Aoi Tanaka was rushed to the hospital. Her skin had split open into deep lacerations—just because Izuku had tapped her shoulder to borrow a pencil.
Doctors said Aoi was lucky. Izuku’s quirk was far more destructive than anything they’d seen.
That was the day his dream of becoming a hero crumbled to dust.
How could anyone be a hero with a quirk that rotted everything they touched? A power that looked more like it belonged to a villain than a savior?

Kintsugi: The Japanese art form of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with gold. It represents the idea that broken doesn't mean unfixable. That even something shattered can be made into a stronger, more beautiful piece of art.
