Summary
Eddie scooped up some more food, but instead of making eye contact this time he lathered Buck’s neck in kisses, feeling him swallow under his lips.
They carried on like that for five more minutes before Buck spoke again, “Have you eaten yet?”
“Yeah, ate whilst I was cooking, I wanted to be able to focus just on you. Focus on feeding you, making sure you gorge yourself so you can get all big and strong.”
“Fuck,” Buck whined, “Keep talking like that and I might not finish all this food.”
“Oh yeah? Why’s that?” Eddie knew why, but he wanted to hear Buck say it.
“I’ll be too busy fucking you.”
Eddie’s face broke into a massive smirk, “Or we could do both.”

Summary
As soon as she got home she did all four tests and set a timer on her phone. She paced around, too anxious to stand still, waiting for the results. It wasn’t that she was scared because she didn’t want a kid, she was scared because she might have to seriously sit down and make some extremely difficult decisions.
Eventually the timer went so she walked over to the bathroom counter, looking down at all four tests.
Positive.
There were four positives.

Summary
Slowly but surely, Bobby and Athena managed to get Evelyn to open up more, showing her whole face as she spoke, still chewing on the drawstring. She was still shy and withdrawn, often stopping mid ramble and apologising, but Bobby and Athena offered gentle encouragement so that she’d go back to splurging.
“You know Evie, if you did want to come and stay with us, I could take you to the station and show you around the place.”
“Would that be allowed?” She asked, voice quiet again.
Bobby offered her a sincere smile, “Of course it is, I’m the Captain, so what I say goes.”
And then, for the first time since they’d met, Evie smiled. It was small, shaky and subdued but a smile nonetheless.

Summary
Buck climbed out of the ambulance and scrambled around the back to find Eddie also standing there, “Are you alright?” He asked, pulling her into a hug. In retrospect making the fact that they were in a relationship extremely obvious wasn’t a good idea, but they were both so worried about the other they didn’t think.
She clung on tightly, not wanting to let go, “I’m fine. Are you?”
“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine.”
“Would you look at that, we got ourselves a pair of love birds.” The prisoner who’d been upfront chuckled, “Isn’t that ideal.”

Summary
The song for their first dance wasn’t anything crazy, it was I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing by Aerosmith. The song was extremely fitting; not only was it a gorgeous rock ballad but the night they’d first kissed they’d been watching Armageddon, so how could they not use it?
As soon as the music began to play they got lost in each other, everyone else fading away as Buck and Eddie swayed back and forth, with the occasional twirl.

Summary
Eddie knew that there was something up with Buck, he could always tell when something was wrong with his best friend, because even after only a year Eddie was certain he knew Buck better than he knew himself. And there was definitely something off about the other man.
He tried to keep a close eye on him, always glancing over at him when he wasn’t stuck to his hip, wanting to make sure he was okay. After everything he’d been through, Buck had to be okay.
At some point Buck had begun coughing, little closed mouthed coughs, like he was trying to hide them, but of course Eddie noticed, so he upped his surveillance.
And then the cough got worse, and worse, and worse, until Buck was staggering back and then collapsed to the floor.

Summary
Buck stares at the notification and realizes he failed to think this through.
Reminder: Your heat is expected to start in five days!
Figuring out the logistics of having a heat while living with roommates has never been something Buck has had to do. When he presented, he still lived with his parents. Then, he lived in a frat house—with more than enough willing partners—and, ever since, Buck has lived alone. Now, Buck has two roommates: one is a child, the other an alpha, with whom he shares a bed—neither of whom should be near him during his heat.
Swiping away the notification, Buck opens the browser on his phone, searching for cheap hotels near me. He’s never gone through a heat anywhere other than his own bed, but he supposes there’s a first for everything.
Buck has his heat while living with Eddie. Eddie helps him through it.

Summary
Eddie wakes up sweating, her hair sticking to the nape of her neck, legs tangled in the sheets. Next to her Buck is naked, still sleeping, body overheated where Eddie's pressed against her, holding her tight, a palm spread over the relentless rise and fall of her ribcage. It’s early, the day barely started, and Eddie smears her damp face against the freckled skin between Buck’s shoulder blades, lips dragging, the salted taste of both of them on her tongue.

Summary
He woke to a pounding headache, the sunlight blinding him.
It took a while for his eyes to adjust to the light, but eventually he could see properly, although his headache didn’t let up in the slightest. When he took in the space around him, he didn’t recognise it, the space was foreign to him.
But as he tried to figure out where he was he noticed something new. He became aware that he didn’t know anything. No wonder the place felt foreign, he didn’t remember anything; not this place, not who he was, not his name, he remembered nothing.
God, he felt lost and untethered.
“Oh, Derek. It's okay, Mummy’s here.” A woman cooed, pulling him into a hug, “Mummy’s got you.”

Summary
“I’m Bobby, by the way.” The man looked at him expectantly, waiting for Evan to answer. Bobby then raised an eyebrow, further trying to prompt an answer out of him. But instead of giving him his name Evan simply muttered “Doesn’t matter.”
“Of course it matters.” Bobby told him, smiling kindly before the pair started walking.
Evan shoved his hands in his pockets, “No, it really doesn’t.”
“Well, is there a nickname I could use instead?”
“Why do you care?” He huffed.
“I need to call you something.”
Evan frowned, no one had ever cared enough for that, but then again the only people he knew were his family and they didn’t care about him, at least not about him as a person. ‘Evan’ was the name of the thing they’d created to keep Daniel alive, and now ‘Evan’ wasn’t needed, he’d been discarded, so he might as well get rid of the name too.
He hesitated for a second before saying “Buck, you can call me Buck.”
