Upon Stan, the shadows cast by the flickering fire dress him in an air of mystery, decorating him with patches of darkness that sink into the contours of his body: defining muscles, revealing some parts, and concealing others. Stan reclines languidly, smiling at Xeno with those stunning, seductive lips. Inviting Xeno to join him beneath the sheets with a promise of intimacy that is impossible to resist.
Perfect, like a moving painting.
If only it were real.
Or: Two days, two people thinking about each other. Basically, a moment of them longing for one another.

Summary
Xeno is an unempathetic medical doctor traveling up north to finish the experimental research that his genius father apparently failed to complete as a way of getting money for his own projects in the future. Along his journey he comes across a town with no roads connecting to the mainland that leaves him feeling suffocated and trapped, but it is a suitable environment to do his research nonetheless, so he stays. He finds temporary residence in an abandoned lighthouse to do his experiments and is threatened by tall tales of the sea life coming ashore from the crazed people living nearby, not believing a word of them until he meets a certain someone who ends up actually helping his research, but only for a price.
It would be years before they are visited by a novice scientist and his friends looking to question him on his practices, but Xeno and his partner in crime are far from welcoming hosts, especially to those who don’t understand the true elegance of the creatures known as sharks.

Summary
The cuffs are something Stanley remembers well from their life before being petrified. In fact, he’d almost think they were the same cuffs if didn’t know that to be an impossibility. They’re certainly a good replica – smooth black leather, fastened with a gleaming steel buckle and lined on the inside with fur. Each cuff has a steel D-ring to hold the short chain that attaches them, the metal sturdy but also melding well into the sleek design of the cuffs. The subtle X embossed on the leather doesn’t escape Stanley’s notice either – that’s something the old pair didn’t have.
“So,” Xeno prompts, interrupting Stanley’s train of thought, “What do you think?”
Xeno takes a break from rebuilding society to enjoy some alone time with Stanley, and he has the perfect idea to spice things up.

After extensive research on soulmates Xeno concluded that he liked the idea that he was going to be meeting his soulmate in a few days. Someone who would be with him through thick and thin and wouldn't abandon him like so many in his life have. A friend who wanted to hang out with him and would be there for him when he really needed their company.
Or: On one chilly day in Boston, Xeno meets his soulmate Stanley. From the books Xeno's read about soulmates they should share an unbreakable bond, but an unexpected dilemma has the bond cracking the day they're destined to meet.
