Summary
Chris, now 20 years old and studying at UCLA, is distant from his father Eddie, who remains in Texas. Buck and Tommy, after Eddie's departure, got married and adopted Daniel, now 13 years old. Daniel resents Chris due to constant comparisons made by Buck, especially since they share similar interests like science and chess. While Chris appears indifferent to Daniel, Eddie knows the adoption and wedding deeply affected him, particularly as Chris had once considered moving back to LA with Eddie but grew distant from the idea after the announcement. Chris even ignored Buck for months, further straining their bond. Now living in the same state as Daniel, Chris avoids interacting with Buck’s family unless it involves Maddie, Jee, or Chimney.
