Summary
Jazz is a small-time criminal broker. Against his better judgment, he agrees to fence a stolen tactical computer, but instead of a fancy mod, that ‘computer’ turns out to be a beautiful, amnesiac Praxian.
Jazz may be a criminal, but he’s got limits, and mecha trafficking is one of them. He frees the captive Praxian and embarks on a quest to help the mech regain his memory.
It won’t be easy. The mech’s kidnappers aren’t happy their prize was stolen, and looming overhead is the spectre of whoever commissioned that tactical computer, and their unknown intentions for its bearer.

“Why?”
“‘Why’ what?” Cyclonus spits out. He laughs, all sardonic in the face of how asinine this entire situation was. “You know perfectly the reason why.” He sniffles, the sound wet. Was his nose bleeding? “So? What now, Autobot? Are you going to kill me?”
He has the perfect opportunity to do it. Braced on his hands, legs uselessly splayed out, all Cyclonus has to defend himself are the biting words he gives, heaving them out like a bad batch of energon. He can’t stand like this, and he couldn’t even detect Ultra Magnus’ sudden presence until the first blow was upon him — the one that sent him careening into a wall, crushing the optical receptors of his eye.
Like this, Cyclonus is the perfect prey.
So why wasn’t Ultra Magnus killing him?
Why was he staring so intently, acting as if he cared?
