Summary
When Camilo comes down with a cold, Mirabel takes it upon herself to cheer up her primo. It’s by sheer accident that she stumbles upon a well-kept family secret - one that her family still isn’t willing to talk about.
While trying to unravel the mystery, Mirabel is met with lies, frustration, and hurt. Everyone seems to be involved, but at the core of it all is Camilo; and for once, it seems like the shapeshifter is the only one not hiding behind a mask.

“He’s very sad,” Antonio translated for them all. “He says he wants his mom.”
A choked noise escaped Pepa, and the dark cloud grew to fill the entire ceiling.
Surely, it couldn’t be…
“And that he is hungry,” Antonio added, and with those words, he ended the unspoken argument.
“Yeah, that’s Camilo,” Mirabel concluded, and lightning struck the corner of the room, setting the theater curtain on fire.
Though Mirabel is not correct, the problem remains: in an attempt to explore his own magic, Camilo ends up stuck in the shape of an animal. While his family panics and tends to the cutest capybara cub found in the magical house, and a vengeful Chispi swears to get her son back, Camilo goes on an unfortunate adventure.Bookmarked by Vesperwave

A joyful day takes a tragic turn, leaving Camilo fighting for his life while the rest of the family tries to cope in the aftermath. Old wounds reopen as long-buried secrets are brought to light, and while the house remains intact, Mirabel is left with the feeling that they are facing the collapse of something far more important.

Summary
Anything is possible when magic is involved. When the Miracle was born into the Madrigal family, multiple possibilities spread out before them and entire worlds sprang from them. Countless ways the story could have gone.
Not every story was a happy one.
There was a world where the magic corrupted and twisted everyone it touched into something cruel and they tormented the village they ruled over.
But this isn't the story of that family. No, this is the story of what happens after that family is dethroned and the desperate villagers are given a chance to keep their Encanto while the magic dies with the last Madrigal.
A choice.
The Miracle needs the Madrigal family to exist. So a different one could be pulled from another world. From a village that didn't deserve them.

Summary
After a particularly disastrous day, a week or so after Casita is rebuilt, Abuela finds herself back on the day of Antonio’s gift ceremony. A bizarre occurrence already, made even stranger when she plays through that day and the one after it again. And again. And again. A horrifying situation to be sure, until Abuela realises one thing: whether it’s the miracle or Casita or something else causing this time loop, it’s a chance to fix what went wrong.
And only by making it all better, or at least as good as it can be, can Abuela break out of this time loop. She’s got a lot to fix, though: Mirabel feels left out, Luisa is on the verge of a breakdown, Isabela doesn’t want to be ‘perfect’, Dolores has more secrets than she can handle, Camilo is forgetting who he is, and Bruno - her own child - has been spending the last decade in the walls.
OR, your author loves time loop stories and wanted one for Encanto.
