Summary
Famously the Silmarillion is vitally important to really understand how Tolkein's word and Lotr works, but it's also incredibly complex and difficult to get through.
So inspired by a post I saw on pintrest, I am attempting to adapt the silmarillion into the style of the hobbit, so more people can understand what it's about and whats happening.
Also if you have read the silmarillion, it's a funny (hopefully) adaptation that sticks about as close to cannon as I could make it.
So, enjoy :)Bookmarked by Very_Small_Prophet

Summary
It's hard to imagine two people more different than Maglor Smith and Andril Hope. He's a chart-topping musician from a complicated high-society family; she's a hardworking doctor with no relatives to speak of. There's no reason a chance encounter involving a crack in the sidewalk should lead to an actual friendship...
...except that it does.
As the two grow closer and their lives get more entangled, Annie has a terrifying choice to make. Does her carefully constructed life have room for messy, chaotic love? Or will it bring everything crashing down around her?

Summary
Nerdanel, Finwë, Indis and young Maedhros have a plan: summer holidays and exchanges of cousins!
Young Aredhel, for the first time, will spend the summer in Formenos with Fëanor's "wild sons" and their weird father... Despite her parents misgivings, the "unladylike" princess may bloom in the north, and discover her own path.
(Note 1: This is less a story than Aredhel & the boys having fun&fluff in the countryside, come bake, garden and wander the forest with me!)
(Note 2: This is set in the same universe as Their Oath shall drive them, but this is 100% gen and a lot lighter. Both stories can be read on their own.)

Summary
For me, the most intriguing thing about Beren and Lúthien’s story has always been a vague feeling that it does not belong in the Quenta. It took me a while to understand why: Beren and Lúthien is a fairytale dropped into the middle of an epic tragedy. These two literary genres are diametrically opposed and follow entirely different genre conventions and tropes, and that is why Beren and Lúthien has always felt so jarring to me in the wider context of the Quenta, and why Lúthien herself feels like a Mary Sue.
