He’d rather collect inspiration from as many sources as he can find, so the well never runs dry, especially now that he’s landed a job as a production assistant in LA. Plus, the whole concept of person-as-vessel and creator-as-molder has always struck him as possessive and creepy. He'll study the idea if he ever gets to work on a meta-horror film in the general vein of Ex Machina, sure. Actually searching for a muse, though? Nope. Not something that interests him.

A set of perfectly manicured fingernails slides into his field of vision. Placed gingerly there on the desk beneath them is the rigid green stem of a pink carnation, wound around with a coiled pink ribbon and a white paper tag.
Eddie looks up.
Chrissy Cunningham stands before him in profile, chin ducked down, only looking towards him out of the corner of her eye, wearing a smile that Eddie kindredly recognizes as mischief. Pink heat colors her cheeks, flares up over her ears, only brought into further contrast under the glaring fluorescents.

“Oh, are we doing this again?” Erica’s eyes went wide in a mockingly innocent expression, “Do I need to remind you about when you thought I couldn’t play? And do I need to remind you how I wiped the floor with your precious Vecna campaign? Peter has potential, just like me—”
“Relax Lady Applejack,” Eddie smirked then pointed at Peter, “I’ve got no problem with that one, but that one,” he pointed at Chrissy, “That’s the one that I’ve got a problem with.”

Chrissy twisted her little body and pointed her toes as her arms curved around her, slicing through the air in dips and turns like the waves she had been so fascinated by earlier. The Momma looked at her boy and Chrissy, a smile of understanding growing on her face. She joined her boy’s singing, so Chrissy pirouetted like she did in her dance class, and she leapt forwards and backwards, her strawberry blonde hair bright like fire in the setting sun.
While on a journey by sea to the new settlement called Hawkins, young Chrissy encounters sea creatures whose song causes others to go mad, but calls to her blood and makes her dance.
