Eight’s head snaps to 3. “Huh- 3?”
“Bringing you was a bad idea, wasn’t it?” He looks blankly straight ahead at the front door as the two of them stand in front of it.
“3, what are you talking about? We literally just got here. It may be a little too late for second thoughts?”
“I know, I know, I just- waltzing back in here with you after so long like nothing happened? It’s gonna be awkward.”
“It is not like you to get cold feet, Agent 3, aren’t you a fearless warrior?” He raises an eyebrow, smirking.
He smiles despite himself at his partner’s teasing. “Yeah, yeah, alright, I get it-” he’s cut off by Eight slipping his hand in his own.
“And I am right here by your side. We will do this together, Agent 3.”

Agent 3 visits his family for the first time since he was a teenager. Only this time, he brings a boy with him.
