He finds Guy a slumped heap in a back alley in Hell’s Kitchen, stabbed repeatedly in the gut, bleeding and bleeding, except the sluggishness and the amount tell Jasper that Guy’s laid here for some time before he called to him. Panic is a second arrow, piercing straight into his heart, and Jasper slaps on Guy’s cheek to a lack of coherent response. Guy’s blue eyes are glassy, disoriented, his breaths coming shallow, quick, his skin clammy and cold, body gone into deep shock.
Guy isn’t just dying; Guy is going to die.

"Get closer," Helen had said. So Guy gets close, pretty damn close actually, close enough that the sound of Jasper’s deep voice indulging Guy’s incessant questions starts to send his traitorous heart racing.
As long as Guy doesn’t invite the vampire willingly into his head or engage in any vampire courting rituals during their hunt for the 7-5-2, he should be fine.
That won’t be a problem.
Guy’s totally got it handled, everything is going to go great.

Summary
Butcher experienced the whole spectrum of human emotion in the span of twelve seconds. His stupid stomach was suddenly filled with butterflies dancing the tarantella and the rest of his fucking guts seemed to have suddenly decided to grow extremities and start a conga line inside of him.
(Don’t tell a soul, but it felt nice. Like, nice.)
Also, Hughie sang out of tune and out of rhythm and Butcher wished he would have recorded it.

Reintegrating Hughie and Butcher into the team after the past month felt both incredibly natural and somewhat odd.
Natural, because there’d been an acute sense that something was lacking the entire time they weren’t around, like they were all a big puzzle that just lost a couple of its central pieces, and this was like welcoming them back. Odd, because it seemed while they were away, Hughie and Butcher had become their own brand new puzzle, and MM just couldn’t figure them out like he thought he’d used to.Series

Butcher pressed his lips together. Unbeknownst to Hughie he was using all of his willpower to hold back tears and keep up his veneer of impassivity. In his world safety was a myth; no place, person or relationship was sacred, but right now, in the midst of all that was crashing down around him, if there ever was a safety net for Butcher it was Hughie. They both knew it, but only one of them could voice it, and the other hated himself because he lacked the strength to.

All of the problems he had were with Butcher. He was the reason Hughie had been beaten, assaulted and threatened by every supe over and over again this whole time. That was a great answer, by the way.
