It was a little annoying, sure, but it wasn't impacting any regular functions and he had so many things to do, so he elected to just ignore it for the moment and do maintenance later.or

Wels’ base is peacefully quiet as Cub lets himself into the courtyard.
Not silent, though. The pond croaks and splashes with life. A horse munches contentedly from an automated feeder. Birds sing.
But the castle itself stands quiet as Cub slips inside, moves through the storage room and up into the castle proper. Comfortingly uniform walls, not too busy though ornamented cozily, line the way to Wels’ room.
Completely safe from the whims of the World in his fortifications, Wels lays on his bed. By now, he doesn’t so much as twitch when Cub enters.
