Small extract;“Dick… it’s what everyone calls me back at- at…” his eyes begin to well up as he tries to continue, “I- at the…” the boy devolves back into tears, blubbering as Bruce begins to freak out as he realises that Dick was now sobbing again,
“Oh, oh, Dick, I- shh, it… its ok, c’mon, why don’t you tell me what food you’d like, maybe we could order your favourite? Or have something in? whatever you’d like,” he attempts to shift the focus as Dick begins to nod,
“O… ok,” he sniffles, “can… can we have some- erm… some pizza?”
“Yeah, of course we can, do you want Alfred to make some or would you like to order some,”
“Order,” Dick mumbles, whipping his eyes, as he continues to sniffle,
“Alright, c’mon let’s go sit down, and get you a tissue, and order something, ok?”
“Ok…”
Bruce picks the smaller boy up, walking him over to the “den” (a small cinema-style/games room), and the two sat on the sofa with Bruce whipping out his phone ordering some pizza…
