Summary
At the age of 11, Tauriel was practically a resident in the Pediatric Oncology Ward. And dang, did she love eating McDonald’s, or any fast food for that matter. With parents who barely visit, save for the weekly bank transfers, the McDonald’s deliveryman becomes her best friend.
Bard Bowman is McDonald’s employee of the month— cashier by day, deliveryman by night, and overtime final boss. Things go as well as they possibly can for a minimum wage worker supporting a family of four in this economy. The only loss he has is not spending enough time with his kids, especially Tilda. So when his daily deliveries to the state hospital begin, he finds another daughter in Tauriel.
Everyone’s happy— Tauriel gets her McDonald’s and some much-needed company, Bard gets paid and finds his job meaningful for the first time. Life is a bit better for both of them…
All until Thranduil Oropherion, Tauriel’s clinician-in-attendance, finds out about the late-night deliveries.
