Summary
V was just a worker drone living the best life along with her friends. "Winters for Outsiders and Witches were very different. That was a commonly accepted and widely known fact. Coco would lay awake in the chilly evenings when she was younger and imagine what it would be like to have magic at a time where food had to be stored rather than picked and eaten fresh, no worries for illness nor the deadly frost that made its home in the cracks in the windows and beneath the doors. It was less of an envious emotion, but rather one that filled her to the brim with wonder and gave her mind something to focus on as her and her mother got less customers and business dwindled down for the season.
The last winter Coco and her mother had spent together was as uneventful as any of the ones before, but now, it was all Coco would think of.
