Summary
Severus woke up.
This was in itself a most confusing occurrence, because the last thing he was aware of was slowly choking on his own blood and the burning of Nagini’s venom scorching through his veins on the floor of the Shrieking Shack.

Summary
This is a collection of notes and worldbuilding research as a companion piece to my Severus Snape centric Time Travel Fix-It fic Young Renegade. You don't have to read this to understand anything in the main fic, and you don't have to read the main fic to make use of any of the notes contained here. But my author's notes were getting to be as long as my chapters, so I felt like I needed somewhere to stick my ramblings that wasn't crowding up the body of the main fic.
The worldbuilding and notes for this series can be easily summed up with a tag I saw on another work: canon is a box of legos and y'all I've lost the instructions for it.

Summary
When Kit gets back to London after achieving her mastery as damphir, she expects to spend her time working on her friend Trish's pet project, getting her inventions into production, and sneekily advising her cousin in the Auror office about the first escape in Azkaban's history. Albus Dumbledore, evidently, has other ideas. Thanks to him Kit gets a lot more involved in the escape of Sirius Black and the goings on at Hogwarts than she wanted to be.

Summary
Christine Blake was, as far as she had long been led to believe, an ordinary child. As far as she knew her mother was an ordinary homemaker. She made her wage selling homemade preserves. Her father, a mechanic who specialised in motorcycles.
This was not entirely true.
When she was eight Christine's mother died. Cyllene Blake took to her grave a rather large secret. Neither Christine nor her father had any idea of this until Christine turned eleven.
The reveal of his secret came in the form of a letter, enveloped in thick, heavy parchment. The direction written in emerald ink. Sealed with purple wax, which had a strange symbol stamped into it.

Summary
The good and honourable Queen Ella was not the only maiden to find love at that fateful ball. Far from it, in fact. Though none of the other ladies were so fortunate as to marry a prince. In that, she was quite singular.
The Prince's generous invitations changed the lives of many of his subjects that night. This is the story of what happened to one young woman, Marianne, because of that dance.

Summary
Now, Astarion was a different story. He’d had nothing, then, without anyone noticing how, he’d suddenly had a gaudy tent that was clearly sized for a family, most likely pilfered from one of the many crates belonging to the tieflings piled near the entrance to the grove. And then, joining that, there were rugs, and blankets, and a growing collection of pillows, enough to build a fort. When they were finally ready to travel to the Underdark, Astarion had tried his best to pack and wrap it all into a manageable bundle.
Tried.
Gale remembered the pouted look of frustration. Had wanted to laugh about it, especially considering he was still a bit bitter about Tav choosing the vampire, of all people, honestly, but then Astarion’s frustrated frown had changed ever so slightly to pained resignation. The sight of it had made something twist uncomfortably in Gale’s stomach.

Summary
Astarion is near the docks when he feels Cazador's compulsion on him snap. He doesn't think twice. He just takes the next available ship out of Baldur's Gate. Its destination: The City of Splendors. Waterdeep.
*
Gale takes back the glass, now empty, and then seems to fidget a little. “There is something I wanted to get your opinion on- but it can wait until you’ve recovered. You don’t look well at all- no offense meant, of course.”
“None taken,” Astarion says sweetly. “Please go on. Tell me exactly what it is about my appearance that you find lacking.”

Summary
“ Dying was a distant memory by now. He recalled the pain, tearing into every fiber of his being, and with it the cold, numbing loss of feeling that came after. But it was muted; by two hundred years of pain that were arguably much, much worse.”
—basically—
As Astarion begins to turn from undead to living—the result of a Wish spell—he reflects on life itself.

Summary
Gale's head snapped up to look at the white, bat-winged tressym who stood tensely on the rug before them. "Astarion?" he asked, amazed. "Is that you? What in the world happened?"
"How in the Hells should I know?!" Astarion cried. "One moment I'm my gorgeous self, the next, I'm a bloody cat!"
"Tressym," Gale and Tara both corrected as one.
