Summary

In a confrontation with Vox, they both find out that, yes, Vox did write the notes, but a really long time ago, back when they were friends. They team up to find out who or whats going on and how to stop more from coming.
And by trying to ease the past from coming to the present, they unknowingly start making a new future.

They say love hurts. That saying has never been more true than in the case of Alastor and Vox, who regularly beat each other up until they both resemble more bloody bits than men. It sounds like a newborn child, screaming as it takes in the first breath of air into its fragile, fresh lungs. It is so empty, and it scrapes and scratches and claws at the hollow parts of his body. They grow larger. There are pieces missing, more and more disappearing.
But what he hates more is the feeling that remains after he stops playing. There is nothing in the absence of the crying and the clawing. The hollow grows greater until his body is nothing but the shell of a poorly taxidermied animal reeking of formaldehyde and moth balls.
The music wraps around him like a warm corpse and it feels right in ways he cannot explain.

The Gaang did not intend to adopt a strange masked child who may or may not be a spirit, but it's not like they could just leave them on their own. Besides, if they're already traveling to the North Pole they might just run into whoever the child is looking for on the way.
