Jesper turned to Kaz and raised an eyebrow in disbelief, “Thirty? Kaz, seriously?”
“He was a bad boy” Kaz replied casually, reclining in his chair, rotating his cane in his hands. “He got what he deserved.”

“Did I give you permission to look at me?” Kaz snapped.
Wylan tilted his head just slightly, half-veiling his gaze behind his curls, still clearly looking.
“Did I need permission?” he asked.
Kaz guided Wylan with a long prod from his cane, turning his attention forward, then down. He waited with the tip of the cane resting on Wylan’s shoulder, but only heard a low shudder of breath as Wylan kept his attention on the floor.
