Summary
Donnie knew that he was trying to play god when he made a button to travel between universes, but he just couldn't help himself! The possibilities are too temping for him to ever resist.
He sets off the machine, and wakes up in the body of his alternate self. Hes ecstatic, for the first hour. The other version of himself should have set them back by now. Donnie could have left a note on what to do, but he assumed that no version of himself wouldn't be able to figure it out in minutes.
Meanwhile, Don is stuck in a different body, confused, and suspected of being possessed by a demon.

Summary
One-shot story. After taking down the Dimensionizer in the 1987 universe, 2012 Donatello and his '87 counterpart head to the Primary Turtle Reality to deactivate the last Dimensionizer. However, Kraang Subprime, the Kraang's master spy and Kraang Prime's right-hand man, had teamed up with his cousin, '87 Krang, to destroy the turtles and hijacks '87 Donatello's portal to prevent them from foiling their schemes, leading to the two Donatellos to end up in the 2003 Turtle universe, where both Donnies enlist the help of that universe's Ninja Turtles to destroy the Dimensionizers and stop both Krangs from destroying the multiverse. (A slight rewrite of "Trans-Dimensional Turtles")

The 2012 TMNT boys are reeling from the loss of their master, and just recently dealing with the 'new world' they had to create (or however that happened, I didn't watch 2012 TMNT) These two events have the boys feeling a sense of total discombobulation, and in that 'fugue' state, they decide something crazy: they already know alternate universes exist, (From the Krang Portals), therefore there must be a universe where their master is still alive. Donnie is obsessed, builds a 'viewing machine' and they find many worlds (the 80's world, the world where Splinter was Sliver and evil, the world where he died, but the one they focus on most is 03 TMNT and for one reason: when they tune in is right after Season 1, episode 23 when Splinter was injured fighting 03 Shredder) and they see him more as he is recovering, meditating in front of a picture of who else but Master Yoshi. It must be fate.
