Summary
Xiao allowed the memories to overflow his mind’s eye. Although calling them memories was a stretch. The merciless march of time had eroded much of his past. All that remained were merely impressions; flashes of childhood sensations, stitched together into a coherent story.
After a difficult month, Xiao succumbs to a deep slumber in which he'll navegate through lost memories in order to understand and find the moment that spark his wish. But what does it mean all of them are related to the Anemo Archon, and the unlikely (almost blasphemous) bond between them?

“So Xiao, I’ll ask you again: regardless of me, Morax, or any other, do you want to remember your wish for yourself?”
The glowing eyes and leveled voice made it clear to Xiao that he was in front of the Anemo archon now. (...) Xiao closed his eyes, and pondered his feelings.
“I want to. I’m ready.” Xiao affirmed with a resolute nod as he opened his eyes.
Venti proposes an experiment that might help Xiao remember the wish that granted his Vision. To further help his dear friend, Venti also departs on a journey throughout Teyvat to gather the stories of as many Anemo Vision wielders as he can. After all, as a bard, he knows that similar stories might unveil a hidden pattern.
So Xiao agrees, despite the pain that separation causes him.

If Visions are crystallized wishes, solidified ambitions, what does it mean for an Illuminated Beast to have one? Or more precisely, what does it mean for Xiao, who constantly insists he's above such things like desires.
When his Vision starts to shine unprompted, Xiao is lucky to have Venti, who's resolute about getting to the bottom of this mystery. In the most extreme way possible.

“I think… I would like to rest, too.” And as Venti softens, lips parting in surprise, Xiao continues on, “But only… only if it’s with you. I want it.”

“For?” Almost glowing turquoise turned toward him, holding him captive.
He gulped. What… what was the question again?
Finally, after thousand of years pining, Xiao gathered enough courage to ask Venti out. He thought it went well.
It did not.
A fic in which Xiao is an idiot, and Venti might be an even bigger one.

After all, Lantern Rite had always been a difficult time for Xiao, so it had been common for Venti to drop by when he was awake, the two of them traversing the lands of Liyue together.
Except… Xiao was not alone this time. Venti could join them, and they might even welcome him, but… would he be intruding?
