Summary
Thanks to the peace achieved between Tali and Legion on the Normandy, the quarians and geth are ready to talk for the first time in three hundred years. Neither side trusts the other, but if there's anyone they trust less it's the Council. To ensure impartiality and prevent outside interference, the human System Alliance agrees to mediate in secret.
After defeating the Collectors at the center of the galaxy, the exhausted crew of the Normandy prepares to stand down for repairs while Commander Shepard goes to the Citadel with proof of the impending reaper invasion. But just before Normandy returns, word of the quarian/geth negotiations is leaked. Councilor Anderson faces expulsion for interfering with Council decrees... and the entire geth collective goes silent. Making matters worse, infiltration of the Alliance at its highest levels by Cerberus is exposed, shattering Humanity's already fractured relationship with the Council.
Now, Commander Shepard must find a way to unite them all before the reapers return to wipe out civilization as they all know it.
