Summary
Sasuke trembled that first day, just for Sakura and Naruto, who was in the bed next to his, as they’d both refused to leave one another’s sides. His shaking came from overwhelm, they knew, and they said nothing of it to spare him the humiliation. Instead, she worked on his wounds, old and new, while Naruto babbled excitedly about all the things he was hoping to do with Sasuke now that he was back.

Summary
Sai was understandably unsettled when the Uchiha came into the picture, slouching his way onto the training field like he hadn’t been willing to commit mass-slaughter a few months ago. Not that Sai was innately bothered by that fact, seeing as Naruto’s talk-no-jutsu failure rate was low, the Godaime took his trial and sentencing seriously, and none of them were clean of blood. He was more thrown by the way the Uchiha’s presence acted as a liquid accelerant to Naruto and Sakura’s already volatile personalities.

There's a moment, when Riku glances across the field and catches a glimpse of Sora and Kairi grinning over at him, that his chest tightens with a now-familiar feeling.
He returns the smile, easy and genuine, and at their insistent beckoning he rises from his seat in the grass; patting away the loose blades that had gotten stuck to his pants, Riku begins a steady walk down the hill to meet them halfway.
“You looked lonely up there.” Sora opens with, reaching out with a hand — the other firmly clasped in Kairi's.
A visit to Corona, and the whispered words spoken therein.
