Summary
When Henry found out one of the biggest tournaments in Bohemia would be held in Kuttenberg in a couple days he decided to sign up. As a faceless black knight.
After all, Hans was busy charming local lords and he had nothing better to do.
What he didn't expect was that the black knight would catch his lord's attention. Nor that he wouldn't be able to stop himself from responding.

Summary
Hans pulled the door close behind him and lingered under the shelter the small balcony offered, arms folded tight against the chill, his expression caught between suspicion and amusement.
“Has it happened? Have you finally lost your mind?”
Henry turned around, rain already dripping from his lashes, hair plastered to his face. Instead of answering, he bowed low and swept an arm out in invitation.
“May I have this dance, Sir Hans?”
Hans stared at him, rain beginning to speckle his shoulders.
“I thought we weren’t supposed to.”
Henry tilted his head. “Who’s going to see? The horses?”
Hans gave a soft snort but didn’t move.
“Afraid I’m the better dancer, my lord?”

After Suchdol, Hans and Henry return to the Devil’s Den, where they must relearn their relationship from the start. Or: five times they thought they were being subtle, and one time they discovered they weren’t.

Summary
"Then s'pose I was mistaken for your wife," Henry swallows, every word a rock, difficult in it's truth, "and you had me in your bed."
Hans manages to collect the half-baked thought, form it before he can regret it. "I'd perform my duties as a lord should, of course."
"'n one of your duties as a lord— as my lord— " and Henry has to bite down a smile at Hans' groan, the sound of him already lost, "is to provide heirs, ain't it?"
"The most important one, I'd say." A touch so soft he could've imagined it, a palm lightly cupping his stomach. Henry relaxes his body. "And I am, above all," small circles above his navel, petting, "ever so dutiful."

Summary
“You a sore loser, m’lord? Gonna make me chase you again, just to lose once more?”
There’s a challenge in his voice, a defiant tilt to his chin where he sizes Hans up. Hans watches him push sweaty hair out of his eyes, revealing a dark smudge under one cheek, and wonders if it’s dirt or blood from their little scuffle.
Hans swallows. “Once more,” he says simply. “Chase me.”
Catch me, he doesn’t say.Or, Hans finds himself on the other side of the hunt.
