    Every story must have a beginning, a middle, and an end; though not necessarily in that order. Some stories start in the middle and tell of the beginning on its way to the end, and some start at the end only to travel backwards all the way to the start. As long as you have those three important parts, you have your story, and countless ways to let them unfold.

    Let us open at the close, for the summary of this story.

    Midoriya Izuku has wanted to be a hero since he was a child, still attending daycare. It was a desire he'd never really elaborated on, but growing up with several prospective heroes, it's a desire he couldn't help but share. Nothing could have prepared him for the road he took to achieve this dream, and nothing could have prepared him for the things he'd lose for it. Still, with every loss there must be gain, and Izuku has decided.

    Knowing where he stands now, and knowing where he started not long ago, there's nothing that could convince him he should've lived his life any differently.

    Izuku Midoriya always dreamed of becoming a superhero. Of fighting supervillains and saving people with a superpower to call his own. Except, the world he was born into was one devoid of superpowers. The Japan he lived in was not one of capes, masks and catchprases, but one of post-war chaos, collapsing economy and police struggling to maintain even vestiges of control over the cities in the wake of a raise in criminal activity and collapse in funding.

    It was a dream that couldn't come to fruition. A dream born of escapism, desire to help others and a weak health that together with Bakugou Katsuki killed all of his potentially achievable dreams. Something that Izuku himself was aware of. It was a fantasy that made the world a bit more bearable as days, months and years passed in a blurry. Nothing more.

    Everything changed when Izuku Midoriya awoke a genuine superpower. Dawn of Quirks has began, and with it, the age of supervillains and superheroes. As the society around him slowly collapses, Izuku will do his best to save as many people as he can. Despite the world of superheroes being way more complicated, dangerous and painful than he ever imagined.

    Midoriya Izuku is acutely aware that not everyone is born equal. He knows from the scared looks people give him out of the corner of his eye, from the heavy weight of the quirk suppressors his mom asks him to wear with sad eyes, from the untameable beast that is his quirk demanding to break free. He wants to be a hero more than anything but some days Izuku wishes he had been born quirkless. Useless was better than dangerous.

    (In which Izuku has a dangerously powerful quirk, Bakugou is forced to be a good friend to cope and no one can control either one of them as they learn to be more human)

    Izuku Midoriya discovers he isn’t so powerless after his life takes a turn for the worse. Hiding from those that want to use his power as well as hiding from himself, the greenette tries to live his life and find out what is really his path. Along the way he’ll meet people that he’ll grow to trust and those that will continue to make him question. It will take a lot, but maybe with Momo Yaoyorozu’s and some friends' help, he might be able to face his demons and show the world what a true hero looks like.
