Ryland Grace has officially lived on Erid for one whole year. Everything's set up to his liking. He has food, a lab, and his best friend who visits him on the daily.
Sure, he's the only human person here. But given his background, he doesn't mind suffering from touch-deprivation. He's safe right where he is.
Well, not for long. Now, there's a new guy. Who's pragmatic and flat when it comes to any form of expression.

Summary
a.k.a. Sperm Donor Fic, a.k.a. a tumblr drabble that sprouted legs and sprinted off into the distance.
The original drabble/concept: "deciding you're sick of dating and just want to do the single mom thing, except sperm is expensive (and you're slightly terrified at the idea of not knowing the person whose dna you're about to combine with yours) so you ask your longtime friend and crush ryland grace if he'll donate. and instead if saying no he makes a joke about what, with a turkey baster? and you joke back, sure. or the old fashioned way, to which he replies that he's always been a sucker for tradition, and this goes on for a little bit until you realize maybe neither of you is joking anymore."
