She paused for a moment, debating on telling the truth due to something prickling at the back of her head, silently telling her that her answer was terribly important, that it could contribute to something that would alter the future irrevocably.

Summary
It’s something twisted and cruel of the gods to do this to her. She doesn’t remember anything, she doesn’t know anything. All she was familiar with was that feeling of fear, specifically of death. Lux's truck and Jinx's motorcycle meet one fateful Monday afternoon, namely when Lux wedges said motorcycle underneath her bumper and sends the rider flying.
She had spent her entire life being the easiest person in the room. She was agreeable, reliable, and was well liked by everyone she met. So when she accidentally crunched Jinx's bike, her instinct is the same as always: fix it, smooth it over, and be the bigger person.
The problem is that Jinx has never been the bigger person about anything in her life, and she has absolutely no intention of starting now.
