Rosalind (Rose) Clarke never wanted to question the morals of the Van der Linde gang. She never wanted to flee out East, and she most certainly never wanted to fall in love with her associate, Arthur Morgan.
But that was life, she supposed. People rarely get what they want, especially outlaws who flee from lawmen, Pinkertons, and bounty hunters. Those people only have to survive long enough to see what the life of an outlaw can bring. If they can even call it a life at all.
(A retelling of RDR2, starting at Horseshoe Overlook. Basically, a “what if Arthur Morgan didn’t get tuberculosis, but instead found purpose through loss and love”).

A chuckle rose up from Remmick’s throat, filling the silence of the night. It was light and almost childish at first, but his laughter quickly transformed into a hoarse cough when the boot that held him down started to put more pressure on his sternum, almost making it crack.
“How could I forget?” A vicious smile spread across his lips full of blood. “You tried to kill me.” His red eyes gleamed through the night. “I guess some things never change, huh?”
